(CINHS) is an innovative primary health care clinic located in Prince George, British Columbia, on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T'enneh people. Founded on Aboriginal leadership and community-based advocacy, the CINHS was established in 1991 to meet the unique health needs of the Aboriginal population of Prince George.
The Executive Director will report directly to an Aboriginal Board of Directors and be responsible for strategic directions and overall operations and program delivery of the Clinic and the Society's affairs. The right candidate will be proficient in Human Resource, Financial, Long Range Planning, External Relations and Research management. The right candidate will be able to lead a very diverse team; culturally and professionally.
All relevant combinations of education and related experience will be considered. A minimum of 5 years experience in agency management. Experience in health care and social service delivery, integrated case-management, and a thorough understanding of the Aboriginal historical experience in northern British Columbia will be seen as a definite asset. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience is required. Candidates of Aboriginal ancestry and candidates from Northern British Columbia will be given preference. In addition they will be asked to write a 500 word, double spaced written submission on "Health status for Indigenous populations is lower on virtually every measure compared to other Canadians. How do you explain the root causes of these differences in health status?". Salary in the $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per annum range. Generous benefits and time-off package.
